About the Role:
We’re looking for a Finance Manager to lead and manage our financial reporting and strategy, while working closely with our CEO & Founder, Commercial and Revenue Operations teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Finance/Accounting: monthly and quarterly investor reports, payroll, maintaining our financial model, calculating bonuses, grant applications, R&D tax credit (with an external consultancy), HMRC stock options valuations (for EMI)
Control: ensuring that the details of new contracts are entered into our CRM system correctly
Procurement: managing supplier contracts (e.g. rent, utilities), software renewals, insurance renewals, negotiation with suppliers
Strategy: helping develop business plans for future products, market sizing, pricing strategies
Requirements:
Minimum 2.1 degree from a top-tier university
Minimum 2 years experience in a relevant role
Fluent written and spoken English
Strong self-review skills and a commitment to accuracy and quality assurance
Excellent attention to detail
Strong time management and ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
An ability and desire to learn new skills quickly
High degree of competence with spreadsheets
Strong analytical, assessment and problem-solving skills
Preferred Requirements:
Experience using Xero and HubSpot or similar accounting/CRM software
Experience running multi-country payroll
Familiarity with the publishing industry
Experience in a fast-paced SaaS or tech environment
